A small cam lock being fitted to an office filing cabinet drawer

Published before we drive, not after

From $55–$125 per lock plus the $19 service call. Whether the lock code is readable or the cabinet has to be opened first.

That is a starting range. The top of it can move, and the final figure depends on the lock, the door and what the technician finds on site. On the large majority of jobs we land inside the published range, and the number is confirmed with you before any work begins. Prices run a few dollars higher in the outer-ring cities — that is drive time, nothing else, and each city page shows its own figure.

  • File cabinets, desks, lockers and display cases
  • Non-destructive opening in most cases
  • Replacement cores and new keys on site

What happens when we arrive

  1. We identify the lock code — most office furniture uses a small set of standards
  2. The cabinet is opened without damaging the drawer face where possible
  3. Lock is replaced or a key cut to code
  4. Every drawer and the gang lock bar are tested

Typically 20–40 minutes per unit.

What to have ready

Any key tag or code stamped on the lock face. It saves real time.

When this is the wrong call

What people ask before booking

Nobody has the key to our file cabinet. Can it be opened without damage?

Almost always. Office furniture locks are low-security by design and can usually be picked or impressioned in minutes, then rekeyed so you have working keys again.
