The bottom pivot and threshold of an aluminium storefront glass door

Published before we drive, not after

From $149–$645 per door. Stile width decides every part that will fit. Pivots and threshold are part of the same system.

That is a starting range. The top of it can move, and the final figure depends on the lock, the door and what the technician finds on site. On the large majority of jobs we land inside the published range, and the number is confirmed with you before any work begins. Prices run a few dollars higher in the outer-ring cities — that is drive time, nothing else, and each city page shows its own figure.

Included on every visit

  • Adams Rite style deadlatches and hook bolts
  • Pivots, thresholds and door alignment
  • Mortise cylinder replacement and rekeying

What happens when we arrive

  1. We identify the stile width — that dictates every part that will fit
  2. Mortise lock, hook bolt or pivot hardware replaced to suit
  3. Threshold, pivots and the closer are checked as one system
  4. Locked and unlocked cycles tested from both sides

Typically 1–2 hours per door.

What to have ready

Nothing.

When this is the wrong call

Cracked glass or a bent stile is a glazier's job first. Hardware fitted to a distorted door will not stay aligned.

What people ask before booking

My storefront door doesn't latch unless I lift it. Why?

The pivots or bottom arm have worn and the door has dropped, so the latch no longer meets the strike. Adjusting the alignment fixes it; replacing the lock does not.
