SAFES LOCKSMITH
Safe Moving & Installation
Safes moved, placed and anchored properly — including up and down stairs, with the floor protected and the anchor done right.
WHAT IT COSTS
Published before we drive, not after
From $195–$795 per move. Weight, stairs, and whether the floor will carry it where you want it.
That is a starting range. The top of it can move, and the final figure depends on the lock, the door and what the technician finds on site. On the large majority of jobs we land inside the published range, and the number is confirmed with you before any work begins. Prices run a few dollars higher in the outer-ring cities — that is drive time, nothing else, and each city page shows its own figure.

SAFES SERVICES
The rest of what we do

Safe Opening
We open safes with the combination lost, the electronic lock dead, or the boltwork jammed — non-destructively…

Combination Changes
New combinations set on dial and electronic safe locks, and tested with the door open before you trust it…

Safe Repair
Safe locks replaced, boltwork realigned and relockers reset — including safes drilled open, restored to full…

Gun Safe Service
Opening, moving, anchoring and lock replacement on gun safes — the heaviest and most awkward safes to get…
WHAT YOU GET
Included on every visit
- Residential and commercial moves, including stairs
- Anchored to slab or floor structure so it can't be carried off
- Floors and door frames protected
- Insured — which matters when moving 800 pounds through your house
HOW THE JOB RUNS
What happens when we arrive
- Route surveyed: doorway widths, turns, floor construction, stairs
- Safe moved on rated equipment — this is a weight and leverage problem, not a lifting one
- Placed, levelled and, if you want, anchored to the slab
- Door and lock tested after placement, because a rack can shift a bolt work
Typically 2–5 hours depending on weight, stairs and access.
What to have ready
Clear access along the route, and where possible the safe emptied.
When this is the wrong call
Upper-floor placement in a timber-framed building needs the floor load checked. We would rather tell you no than through a ceiling.

QUESTIONS
What people ask before booking
Does a gun safe really need to be anchored?
Yes. An unanchored safe can be tipped, dollied out, and opened elsewhere with time and tools. Anchoring is the difference between a safe and a heavy box, and it's usually the cheapest part of the whole purchase.
