The dial and handle of a steel safe with a manipulation tool resting against the door

Published before we drive, not after

From $99–$359 per safe. Lock type, and whether it opens by manipulation or has to be drilled and repaired.

That is a starting range. The top of it can move, and the final figure depends on the lock, the door and what the technician finds on site. On the large majority of jobs we land inside the published range, and the number is confirmed with you before any work begins. Prices run a few dollars higher in the outer-ring cities — that is drive time, nothing else, and each city page shows its own figure.

What happens when we arrive

  1. Make, model and lock type identified — that decides whether it opens without damage
  2. Manipulation or scoping tried before anything destructive
  3. If drilling is required you are told where, why and what repair costs before we start
  4. The safe is repaired and relocked so it stays usable

Typically 30 minutes to several hours depending on the safe.

What to have ready

Photo ID and proof the safe is yours. Serial number and any paperwork speeds this up considerably.

When this is the wrong call

A safe you cannot prove is yours will not be opened, whatever the circumstances.

What people ask before booking

Will opening my safe destroy it?

Not usually. Many safes can be manipulated or scoped open with no damage, and most that do require drilling can be repaired and put back into service the same day. We tell you which category yours falls into before starting.

My electronic keypad is dead. Is the safe ruined?

Almost never. It's usually the batteries or the keypad itself, both of which are replaceable, and the mechanism inside is fine. Try fresh batteries in the correct polarity before calling anyone.
